Hotel Porta Faenza was born from the restructuring of Palazzo Pegna (1700), home of a well-known family of Florentine merchants. It is situated in the Via Faenza, near to one of the gates in the wall which in the XV century surrounded the city. Here you still breathe the atmosphere of the old house (the terracotta, the stonework and the fine collection of old memorabilia on display all around the hotel) and this, combined with every modern comfort, makes this hotel your 'home' in the very heart of Florence.
